Samsung Epic 4G Specs

Samsung Epic 4G is a version of the popular Galaxy S series of phones. The Epic 4G is also known as the Samsung Galaxy S Pro. This is the world’s second 4G phone to be released after HTC’s Evo 4G, so this makes the phone Samsung’s first 4G phone. This is CDMA and already known, is a 4G phone. The phone measures 124x65x14mm and weighs 155g. So this is one heavy phone.

The Epic 4G features a 4 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 480×800 pixel resolution and can display 16M colors. It has a slide out QWERTY keyboard in the landscape mode. So you can have a good messaging experience with this. Accelerometer makes the auto rotation of the display possible and the proximity sensor helps in auto turn off of the display.

The phone has a 3.5mm audio jack making it possible for you to plug in any of your favorite headphones. It has 512 MB of each ROM and RAM and a microSD card slot which supports upto 32GB. Wi-Fi b/g/n, WiMAX, Bluetooth V2.1 with A2DP and a microUSB port for connectivity purposes.

A 5MP camera with LED flash gives high resolution pictures of 2592×1944 pixels. Other features of the camera include geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection. Video recording is done at 720p, i.e., HD resolution. A secondary camera in the front of the phone is provided for video calling.

The phone runs on Android 2.1 and has a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor. Full HTML browsing is supported and there also is an A-GPS module to please you with the maps app. A standard Li-ion 1500 mAh battery powers the phone.
